Job Description

HopCare Home Services is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Senior Support Worker to lead and mentor care teams delivering high-quality home and community support.
The successful candidate will coordinate day-to-day care delivery, ensure person-centred practices, and provide hands-on assistance to clients who require additional physical or emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor care assistants and support workers during day and weekend shifts.
• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and regularly updated.
• Support clients with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and companionship.
• Assist with medication administration and documentation in accordance with policy.
• Coordinate shift handovers, communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals.
• Respond to emergencies and handle incidents according to HopCare procedures.
• Encourage client independence and participation in community activities.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in health or social care (supervisory experience preferred).
• Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Must hold or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not required.
